OUR STORY
A family recipe, brought to Port Huron
Señor Tequila began with brothers Andres and Juan Pablo Perez, who spent months searching Michigan for the right place to open a restaurant of their own.
A chance meeting with a group of Port Huron locals while working at Jose's Mexican Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie led the brothers downtown, where they found a building on Huron Avenue with decades of history as a neighborhood gathering spot.
In October 2022, that building became home to the recipes passed down through the Perez family. Every day, our kitchen makes chips, salsa, guacamole, and sauces fresh from scratch. No shortcuts and nothing made the night before.
We're proud to call downtown Port Huron home, from sponsoring local schools to welcoming neighbors back, plate after plate. Whether it's lunch on a weekday or a Friday night with the whole family, we're glad you're here.

What a great Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere is fun and made to look authentic. The staff is awesome and you are greeted with a smile and table very quickly! You are served with fresh made chips and salsa and the menu has something for everyone!
